Fiber Manager 10.8.1 Release Contents

Fiber Manager allows users to manage and analyze fiber optic systems. It provides a set of tools and reports that connect, maintain, and manage an organization's fiber infrastructure.
 

There is some new functionality in the 10.8.1 release of Fiber Manager that is described in What's New in 10.8.1?.

• CLS-78454 - When re-selecting a site already open in Connection Manager an exception is generated.

• 10.8.1 is a brand new release and there are no prior service packs of patches.

Installation Instructions

The 10.8.1 installers are complete installers for versions of ArcFM Solution. As such, you will first need to uninstall any version of ArcFM Solution. 

PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES

• Ensure that your hardware and software meet the ArcGIS system requirements. 
• ​Ensure that your hardware and software meet the specifications in 10.8.1 ArcFM Desktop, Designer, Designer Express, Network Adapter, Fiber Manager, Conduit Manager, License Manager, and Object Reader for Desktop - Supported Versions.
• Fiber Manager 10.8.1 requires a complete upgrade to ArcGIS 10.8.1. ArcGIS must be upgraded before you upgrade to Fiber Manager 10.8.1.
• When you upgrade to Fiber Manager 10.8.1, you must upgrade all ArcFM Solution products. Mixed versions of ArcFM Solution products are not supported.
• Anti-Spyware must be disabled before installation to avoid interference with the installation. They may be restarted after installation is complete.

Perform the following steps, in sequence, to install Fiber Manager:

1. Navigate to Downloads.
2. Double-click the Microsoft installer file for this product.
3. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
